Service Provider Configuration in VBR
Give access to Service Provider
If the service provider is already configured in the customer’s VBR, you only need to make sure to tick in the “Allow this Veeam Backup & Replication installation to be managed by the service provider”.
Add Service Provider
If the service provider is not added yet, you need to add it by doing the following:
- On the local VBR install of the customer, give the public DNS name of the vcc-ix server and specify the port. The proper access details are here, an example is given in the below screenshot.
- Tick in the “Allow this Veeam Backup installation to be managed by the SP” option.
The certificate is checked.
If the check fails, then the port is not open on the firewall of the customer, turn to the network administrator of the customer’s infrastructure. To simply test this, use Telnet or PowerShell (to see how, click here).
If the check is successful, go on to provide the credentials that you previously created in the service provider console.
Click Apply and run through the rest of the wizard.
Veeam will run an automatic scan to see if in its cache everything is up to date.
