Expand the Storage of a Mailbox

Storage add-ons specify the maximum quota of a mailbox and not the amount you want to raise the quota of that mailbox. For example, the 30 GB add-on will specify that the limit on the given mailbox is 30 GB.

First, buy the given Storage expansion add-on that your user needs. If your user currently has a 25 GB mailbox and you want to expand it with + 5 GB, you’ll need to buy the 30 GB Storage expansion add-on. To do this, go chapter: “Buy add-ons.”

After buying a storage add-on, if you go to the resources tab of a company, you’ll see the limits (marked with blue arrows on the screenshot) belong to your normal 25 GB package, which allows you to provision unlimited number of mailboxes using that limit. And you can also see that the add-on gives you the possibility to provision 1 mailbox with the 50GB quota (marked with red boxes on the screenshot).

To raise the quota for a mailbox, go to Service Director > Hosted Exchange > Accounts > choose the given company > Mailboxes > choose the user that you want to change from the list, and on the General tab, change the Mailbox template from Standard to Custom and hit Save.

image-1610637957366.png

The Advanced tab appears.

Click it and specify the new quota for the mailbox.

Choose the desired quota from the drop-down...

...and click Save at the bottom of the page.

Alternatively, choose custom from the drop-down, and give the quota limits manually based on the below table. (Also click Save at the end.)

Edit or cancel an add-on and check available resources

To check the add-ons belonging to a Customer’s subscription, go to Customer manager > Subscription list > Choose the customer > Add-ons tab

image-1610633295337.png

image-1610633370316.png

To see the available resources belonging to a Customer’s subscription, choose the Resources tab.

image-1610633392603.png

Scrolling down, you’ll see the row “Outlook license activated.” Here you can see that by default, 0 license is available (because in the default package, Outlook is not included), and that +1 is available as part of an add-on. You can see how many are already used, and how many are still available.
