Archived: Check the Veeam Backup and Replication installation version

If your customer already has VBR installed, check the installation version and upgrade it if needed.

On the customer’s computer: if the Customer already has VBR installed on their server, you need to check if the configuration is correct.

We are currently using version 11. If the installation connected to our system is not yet on this version, licensing information and job configuration won’t appear in the SPC. Please, check the version by going to Options > Help > About

Update VBR

The update process is very similar to the installation process specified below. On the setup screen, instead of “Install”, you’ll see “Update”. Just click on the Update button and follow the wizard. When the installer asks you if you want to update the databases, accept it. You don’t need to uninstall Veeam before the update.

Backup configuration

Before you begin the update, it’s practical to backup your current configuration. Go to Options > Configuration Backup

Click on Backup now to create the config backup. The dialog box will notify you when the backup is finished.
